Fontana was elected as Clerk of Court of Lafourche Parish on October 24\, 2015.  Prior to being elected as Clerk of Court\, Fontana served as an Assistant District Attorney for Lafourche Parish as a felony prosecutor\, prosecuting major crimes including homicides and other crimes of violence gaining extensive experience and knowledge in criminal law.\n\nFontana was also a private practicing attorney in Lafourche Parish with the law firm of Morvant & Cavell\, APLC engaging in a general civil practice including family law\, estate planning\, successions and civil litigation.  She taught Family Law at Nicholls State University from 2009 through 2015.\n\nSign up today to hear all about her journey thus far as Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court.
