DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for Friends of Bayou Lafourche Weir Removal Boat Parade on Bayou Lafourche!\n\n\n\n Paddle-powered boats: launch at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve at 2:00 pm\n\n\n\n Motorized boats should be staged at Jean Lafitte no later than 2:00pm to follow paddle-powered boats. For those using the Leighton Boat Launch\, additional parking will be available. \n\n \n\n The parade route is roughly 3 miles (turning around at Nicholls State University\, and returning back to Jean Lafitte/Leighton Boat Launch)\, and paddlers/boaters will be treated to live music along the bayou-side at the following locations: \n\n\n\n- Jean Lafitte Board Walk\n\n- Rotolo's Pizzeria Balcony\n\n- Town Homes by Rienzi Plantation\n\n- Thibodaux Pedestrian Bridge (behind Chamber of Commerce Office)\n\n- New Nicholls State University Bayou-Side Park
